About

LAAB was created by a group of USC law students in Spring 2006 in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.  Every Spring Break, the group makes its annual trip to the Gulf region to provide legal services and a helping hand to vulnerable communities.

The legal, historical, and cultural education that New Orleans has to offer aspiring lawyers is an experience that will remain with LAAB participants throughout their legal careers. Students who journey bear witness to the destruction and respond to the communities in our nation that need it most

LAAB places students in organizations throughout New Orleans in need of legal and physical services. Thus far, hundreds of students from USC LAW have served in the still devastated area.

In the past several years, LAAB has also provided legal aid services to various areas in Southern California during its Winter Break Trip.
